Peru’s Cloud Forest, where highland clouds meet the jungle, is a day’s drive from Cusco and is one of the world’s most important biodiversity hotspots. Less than 2 hours from one of the World’s Wonders, Machu Picchu can be reached by hiking or train from our project in the Cloud Forest.
At our project in the Cloud Forest, you’ll work with one of our specialists in agriculture. Here you will learn and help harvest (depending on season) some of the best tea, coffee, cacao, and other organically grown produce. Our project has hosted agriculturists from all over the world to learn how certain product such as tumeric, ginger, pineapples, limes and chirimoya all grow consistently throughout the year.
At our project, you may be working with one of five families who assist one another to plant, harvest, package, and maintain their land. The cooperation has existed for generations to survive trading amongst each other and assisting one another in the local markets.
